Why You Should Use Borax To Remove Grout Floor Stains
By MADISEN SWENSON
Borax is a natural and effective choice for cleaning grout stains, thanks to its ability to break down grease, dirt, food and drink spills, and minerals like magnesium and calcium.
For best results, mix borax with hot water and either Castille soap or baking soda. This can be made into a paste for intense cleaning or diluted into a solution for larger areas.
Apply the mixture using a soft-bristle brush, sponge, or microfiber cloth to the grout lines. Avoid abrasive tools like steel wool or wire brushes, which can damage the grout.
Before applying the mixture extensively, test it on a small, inconspicuous area of the tile. Always wear safety gear to prevent irritation, and keep borax out of reach of children.
