Why Forest Wallpaper Belongs In The Bedroom, According To Nate Berkus
By ALEXANDRIA TAYLOR
In an Architectural Digest interview, Nate Berkus and his husband Jeremiah Brent flaunted their Greenwich Village home, including forest-printed wallpaper in the main bedroom.
"To live in the city and open your eyes first thing in the morning and be in, sort of, this moody, cool forest feels really right," Berkus noted in the Architectural
Digest video.
Nature has long been a source of inspiration and a way to bring calm into a space, so it makes sense to recreate that environment in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city.
Brent explained that adding modern furnishings like a contemporary chandelier and sleek furniture helped their otherwise traditional bedroom interior align more with their style.
They also noted how they added more colors when revamping the house. While the interior stays muted, the forest wallpaper brings the room to life with toned-down shades of green.
