Know About
Airbnb Luxe
By LAUREN SCHOTT
Airbnb has become a popular choice when it comes to traveling, since their experiences are more personalized than staying at a chain hotel. Over 1 billion people have booked through Airbnb, and the company has now launched Airbnb Luxe, where travelers can stay in a high-end mansion, villa, or penthouse.
Airbnb Luxe is a one-of-a-kind luxury experience that comes with a variety of add-ons such as a personal chef, personal masseuse, childcare, and more. Each booked accommodation comes with a personal trip designer, with the most expensive properties going for up to $20,000 a night, and others as low as $400 a night.
The difference between Airbnb Plus and Airbnb Luxe is that Plus requires the property to be inspected and judged against a checklist of over 100 necessary quality and design standard requirements, whereas Luxe properties need to meet a checklist of over 300 requirements. In comparison, an average Plus location goes for $200 a night, while a traditional Airbnb rental goes for around $100.
