What Leftover Coffee Grounds Can Do To Keep Frogs Out Of Your Garden
By ETHAN HARRISON SMITH
Although frogs are relatively harmless, they can carry diseases, attract snakes, and create noise. Luckily, simply spreading coffee grounds on your lawn will keep them away.
The grounds work as a natural deterrent by making the soil more acidic, which is painful for the frogs’ feet. For maximum potency, replace the grounds every couple of days.
This method can also benefit your yard since coffee grounds act as fertilizer, add organic material to help plant growth, improve drainage, and provide food for worms.
However, you should always test your soil first since the coffee grounds will increase its acidity. While some lawns can benefit from a lower pH, others might be harmed instead.
