What Garden Stakes Can Do For Your Garden (And Your Safety)
By ZARA M.
If you have a garden full of earwigs that are munching on your plants, then catching them with pots on stakes or canes might be a gardening hack that comes in handy.
Simply fill small terracotta pots with straw, hay, or shredded paper. Next, place them upside-down on canes dotted around your garden.
Position them close to the plants that might be a target such as plants with new growth. If you don't want to use canes or stakes, put your fencing to good use instead.
Topping stakes with plant pots is also a great safety precaution. The pots help you to see the stakes as you’re working in the garden, reducing your chances of injury.
