Ward Off Asian Lady Beetles Using Two Spices From Your Pantry
By CLAIRE DANGALAN
Asian lady beetles invade our living spaces, preying on beneficial insects and leaving stains and foul odor. To deter them, gather two spice rack staples: cloves and bay leaves.
Put whole cloves near these entry points, such as cracks, crevices, and gaps around doors and windows, and replace them periodically to maintain their effectiveness.
Alternatively, scatter dried bay leaves around the perimeter of your garden or home, particularly near the entryways, and replace them as needed to enjoy continued protection.
