Use Trim To Give Your Outdated Flat Doors An Instant Upgrade

Replacing old, drab doors is not always cost-effective. Luckily, TikTok user @christelmontenegrohome has a DIY hack that can help transform your unsightly doors.
All you need is some new hardware, paint, and simple box trim or molding available at any home store. Begin by removing the existing hardware from the door.
Sand and paint the door’s surface, covering the existing wood finish after removing the doorknob. Then, add the box trim, creating four different rectangles on the door.
To attach the trim or molding to the door, use small brad nails or a strong adhesive like wood glue or gorilla glue. You can also purchase peel-and-stick box trims from Amazon.
After the trim is applied, paint it to match the rest of the door, making it look like all one piece. Finish by adding the new hardware.
