Use TikTok's Potting Hack For A Fuller Rubber Tree Plant
By WILL FORD
Rubber trees are popular indoor plants, with their interesting leaves and striking height. Unfortunately, its trunk becomes bare as it gets taller, with leaves focused at the top.
One solution is to plant multiple rubber trees in the same pot, thereby creating fuller, more evenly spread foliage, and a more balanced, aesthetically pleasing appearance.
To plant several of your rubber trees together, use a pot that’s big enough to accommodate all of the trees comfortably, and that has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
Remove the saplings from their pots taking care not to damage the roots, loosen the root ball to encourage growth, and place them in their new pot, leaving enough space for growth.
Fill the pot with a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter, like potting soil and perlite. Cover the roots and gently press the soil around the base of each sapling.
Water the pot fully to settle the soil, and ensure good root-to-soil contact, but avoid overwatering since this can lead to root rot. Let the soil dry slightly between watering.
Lastly, place the pot where it will receive bright, indirect sunlight. Rubber trees thrive in warm and humid conditions, so ensure the temperature and humidity levels are suitable.
