Landscape borders allow you to visually unify the elements in your garden, dictate the garden walkway, and keep different areas of the yard from blending into each other.
Get a lush and natural-looking landscape by replicating a few plant species throughout the edges. This will help the plants flow together and make the border look well-structured.
Our brains thrive on patterns so it’s a good idea to create a border with repeating plants in mind. Experiment with pairings like dahlias and lilies, interspersed with begonias.
If you’d like your edges to bloom year-round, plant them with recurrent plantings of spring and summer perennials in mind, so when one closes off, the other will bloom.
