Use This IKEA TROFAST Hack To DIY A Rotating Bookshelf
By ALEXANDRA RODRIGUEZ
If you’re running out of storage space for your books and don’t want to invest in expensive bookshelves, try creating a DIY rotating bookshelf with IKEA’s TROFAST bookshelf frame.
You’ll also need four of IKEA’s BEKVÄM spice racks, a Lazy Susan rotating tray from Walmart, as well as screws and a 12 ⅝ x 20 ½ inch pine wood piece from your local hardware store.
Begin by assembling the TROFAST frame and spice racks as per the manual. Once done, leave them as is or sand and prime them before painting them to match your room.
Next, screw the spice racks to the frame’s sides, placing two on each side. Following the rotating tray’s instructions, connect it to the pine board and the TROFAST frame’s base.
Finally, add the shelves, display the bookshelf in a room, and fill it with books. You can further tweak its appearance by adding houseplants, framed photos, or other decor items.
