Two Kitchen Staples That Will Keep Annoying Flies Out Of Your Home

If flies suddenly overrun your kitchen, simply combine a tablespoon of salt with the same amount of turmeric in a container and sprinkle it all over the troublesome area.
The flies will evade turmeric's bitter, pungent smell and seek food elsewhere. If they do eat the mixture, the high salt concentration will dehydrate them and eventually kill them.
For better results, keep any food debris or organic material inaccessible, like in a fridge or outside the house, if it's a waste, as flies are attracted to these items.
