Turn Your Fall Pumpkin Into A Cute DIY Bird Feeder
By JESSICA DANIELS
Turn your old pumpkin into a bird feeder with this easy DIY. Start by cutting it in half horizontally, removing the innards, and setting the seeds aside to be used later.
Next, drill four holes at compass points around the circumference, big enough to accommodate two dowel rods that are long enough to slide all the way through.
Soak the pumpkin halves in a diluted vinegar solution to prohibit mold growth and allow them to dry. Insert the rods and tie one end of a piece of twine onto each.
Fill it with birdseed and toss in your dried pumpkin seeds. Use the strings to hang the feeder wherever it is most desirable, and watch the birds feast with delight.
