IKEA's $169 Malm dressing table has recently gone viral on TikTok, with people styling it as their bedroom vanities — complete with neatly organized makeup compartments.
The dresser is trending for its minimalist, 'clean girl aesthetic' look and ability to store a lot away in its drawer. It can also double as a work-from-home desk.
Although the dresser is available in white and black, the white one is more popular. Its top has a glass panel overlay, adding to its overall clean look.
However, the dresser does have certain cons. For one, it requires assembly and needs to be attached to the wall under specific instructions, which may be an issue when renting.
The Malm dresser's maintenance may be low-key, but many reviews on IKEA's website and comments on TikTok claim that the drawer can be flimsy, so its durability is still debatable.
