This Stunning Flower Will Bloom In Your Yard For Decades
By ETHAN HARRISON SMITH
Perennials come back annually, but some varieties have shorter lifespans. Luckily, peonies are known to last up to 100 years or more and aren't too fussy.
Peonies smell great and are at least three feet wide and three feet tall. They will add vibrance to your garden and come in a variety of colors, like red, pink, white, and yellow.
The flower comes in three varieties: tree, herbaceous, and intersectional peonies. With any variety you choose, peonies need to be moved at least once a decade.
Your peonies need well-draining and fertile soil in a place where they'll get six to eight hours of sunlight. Plant them in the fall at least six weeks before the ground freezes.
