This Easy Trick Removes Rust From Your Gardening Tools
By ADRIANNA MACPHERSON
If your gardening tools have rusted, there's no need to buy a whole new set of gardening tools — you only need this easy rust-removing hack. This trick may take multiple hours to complete, but most of the time, you’re not actively engaging in repairing the tool.
All you need is a bottle of Coco-Cola as this fizzy brown soft drink will vanish any rust found on your gardening tools. Coco-Cola contains a small amount of phosphoric acid which reacts with the iron oxide found in rust, helping to remove it.
Begin the process by filling a container with Coco-Cola and placing your rusted tools in it, then let it soak for a full 24 hours. If you have a bigger tool that won’t fit in a container, you can cover your tool in a sponge or cloth soaked in Coke, then scrub off the rust after a little while.
