This Brilliant Baking Soda Hack Makes Removing A Stripped
Screw Easy
By RON BAKER
If you ever encounter a stripped screw without the right tools or a rubber band, two ingredients can solve the problem: cyanoacrylate glue (CA glue or super glue) and baking soda.
YouTuber @creationholic101 piles baking soda on top of the screw, makes an impression of a screwdriver tip, and adds CA glue. This forms a molded drive to back the screw out.
The baking soda speeds up the glue's drying time and creates an exothermic reaction (i.e., one that releases heat) that forms long polymer chains or bonds that are quite strong.
The bond is so strong that it can fill knot holes in wood, rebuild rotted or chipped areas in other materials, and even repair damage to the propellers of lightweight aircraft.
