Think Twice Before Mowing Your Lawn After Fertilizing It

Mowing your lawn right after fertilizing it could undo the benefits of fertilization, as mowing can shift the focus of the grass from taking in nutrients to repairing
cut blades.
Grass takes a long time to absorb fertilizers. Mowing your lawn soon after fertilizing may remove much of the formula before the grass has a chance to assimilate the nutrients.
While a waiting period of 24-48 hours is standard for most fertilizers, adhering to the directions provided with the specific formulation you're using on your lawn
is recommended.
If you need to mow and fertilize on the same day, consider mowing before fertilizing and leaving the cut grass scattered on top, which provides additional nutrients for the lawn.
