These Three Mistakes Are Attracting Unwanted Moles To
Your Yard
By JOANNA MARIE
You may be inadvertently attracting moles to your yard by failing to curb insects, overwatering, or positioning certain landscape. Moles love these conditions for their homes.
To become mole-free, start by cutting off their food supply. Use pesticides or nematodes to control the insect population, and practice good lawn hygiene, like removing leaves.
Most importantly, you’ll want to avoid overwatering your lawn. Moles thrive in damp conditions, as wet soil makes it a breeze to tunnel and regulates their body temperature.
Since moles have a knack for seamlessly integrating their tunnels into your landscape, consider repositioning some of your yard’s features and even digging underground barriers.
