The Stunning Vase You Can Make From An Empty Toilet Paper Roll

Ceramic decor pieces are beautiful but costly. If you're considering adding one to your home, consider DIYing an inexpensive yet chic donut vase dupe using a toilet paper roll.
To try this hack from Home Talk on YouTube, start by cutting an empty toilet paper roll in half. Next, grab a round foam circle, like you would use to make a wreath.
Shave away the circle's bottom with a retractable knife so the piece can sit flat on a surface. Then, glue the bottom of the cut toilet paper roll to the top of the foam circle.
Ensuring there aren't gaps between the roll and the foam circle, hot glue the sides and let it dry. Apply a layer of spackle to your piece using an artist's pallet knife.
Spackle the inside of the toilet paper roll and let it dry for 24 hours. Sand it with a 220-grit sandpaper block until the surface is even and smooth.
Spray paint it a stone-like textured or any other preferred color, and let the paint dry. Add foliage that doesn't require water to stay fresh, such as dried herbs or leaves.
