The Streak-Free Hack For Cleaning Glass Patio Doors
By BRI AHEARN
Glass patio doors that get used often likely have unsightly streaks. Luckily, TikTok user @maidbynature shared her secret to keeping them clean: rubbing alcohol and water.
Create a 50/50 pairing of water and rubbing alcohol, and put the mix in a spray bottle. Afterward, add 1 teaspoon of dish soap to cut through any tough spots.
The video doesn't specify what strength of rubbing alcohol to use; however, experts recommend 70% isopropyl alcohol. A comment on the video also recommends using Dawn dish soap.
Spray the glass thoroughly with the solution, take a squeegee to the grime, then let it air dry. If you don't have a squeegee, @maidbynature said a glass cloth will do.
Unlike other cleaning products that may leave water spots, the rubbing alcohol evaporates easily. You can also use this mix for other glass surfaces, like windows and mirrors.
