The Safest Way To Store Hydrogen Peroxide
By DANIELLE RAMOS-SULLIVAN
It is recommended to store hydrogen peroxide in a cool, dark place, away from sunlight and heat, as exposure to these elements can cause it
to degrade faster.
An unopened bottle of hydrogen peroxide can be stored for up to three years, after which the solution will begin to break down on the inside and decompose into water and oxygen.
Once you open a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, it starts to lose its potency. It is best used within the first six months, as storing an opened bottle for a long time
isn't ideal.
A simple way to check the effectiveness of hydrogen peroxide is by observing its fizz. If the solution has degraded, pouring it will produce no fizz.
