In 2016, Costco's CEO confirmed that their Kirkland Signature batteries, wildly popular for their affordability, durability, and reliability, are actually manufactured
by Duracell.
Although both are made by the same company, Kirkland batteries are sold at a significantly lower price than the Duracell brand batteries, making the Costco offering quite the deal.
However, Duracell batteries are considered the best overall on the market, according to Consumer Search. In a test by NBS12, Duracell brand batteries outlasted Kirkland batteries.
Additionally, Kirkland batteries are primarily manufactured in the United States, aligning with the preferences of consumers who prioritize domestically made products.
