The Non-Invasive Wisteria Variety You Can Enjoy For Its Fragrant Blooms
By ROBYN TURK
Adding a fast-growing vine to your garden promotes an established, secluded vibe. For example, summer cascade wisteria’s purple blooms create a private, aromatic space in no time.
The flower’s natural deer resistance makes it a great border plant, while its fragrant blooms attract pollinators. It’s also native to parts of North America, so it’s non-invasive.
Summer cascade wisteria should be planted in either full sun or partial shade and given water regularly. Prune it frequently to control any unwanted growth and encourage blooms.
Since it can reach heights up to 25 feet, you’ll need to ensure the plant has a strong, tall support. The easiest way to achieve this is by planting it along a fence or trellis.
