The Natural Trick For Dealing With Aphids In
The Garden
By CARRIE BRADON
Aphids are little bugs that love to prey on your plants. If you’re lazy in dealing with them, you’re in luck: Studies have shown the best way to get rid of them is to ignore them.
The University of Minnesota notes that aphids cause little to no damage to most plants, and plenty of beneficial insects, like ladybugs, are more than happy to feast on them.
You can encourage more ladybugs to visit your garden by planting some of their favorite flowers. Plants with heavy pollen outputs, like marigolds and calendula, work the best.
If your plants do sustain damage, rinse the pests off using a hose. Alternatively, mix vinegar or 1 tablespoon of soap with a gallon of water and apply it to the affected areas.
