The Mowing Tip You Need To Keep Weeds From Spreading In Your Lawn
By SAKSHI KHAITAN
Watching your lawn get infiltrated with weeds and turn into a lackluster landscape can be aggravating, but using this mowing method can help reverse its fortunes.
Raising your mower’s height to its highest setting when trimming grass ensures long blades that prevent weed seedlings from accessing sunlight so they can’t germinate and spread.
While mowers are commonly used at 3 ¼ to 4 inches, it may be ill-suited for some grass types that flop over when maintained too tall. Stick to under 3 ½ inches in such cases.
A higher density of green shades the soil, reducing the sprouting of new weeds and the need for herbicide. Control weeds by keeping your grass tall by mowing at a greater height.
