In a survey conducted by House Digest, 37% of homeowners — equating to 220 out of 596 respondents — agreed that granite is the best material for kitchen countertops.
Granite's popularity stems from its numerous benefits, including heat and scratch resistance, enabling homeowners to work in the kitchen without fear of damaging the surface.
The material is available in a wide range of colors, such as black, white, gray, and even blue, which allows homeowners to match their countertops with various kitchen designs.
Although granite is a porous material and needs to be sealed, the sealing process is typically handled by fabricators, so homeowners generally don't need to do
it themselves.
Granite is also low maintenance, rarely requiring resealing, and is resistant to scratches and chips, making it a long-lasting and practical choice for kitchen countertops.
