The Houseplant That Can Survive In A Humid, Windowless Bathroom
By CHRISTY RAE AMMONS
Native to tropical rainforests, arrowhead plants are ideal for your windowless bathroom. Unlike many other houseplants, they can tolerate high humidity and low-light conditions.
These plants like humidity, so they can thrive in your windowless bathroom since it closely simulates their natural environment — and you won’t need a humidifier to care for them.
Arrowheads have white, green, and pink variegation, but low light can reduce the variety or intensity of their colors, so leave the door open to let in some indirect sunlight.
Water your arrowheads only when the soil is mostly dry, and trim their stems periodically to encourage thicker foliage. Remember, they’re toxic to pets, so keep them out of reach.
