A video from the official TikTok account of WD-40 UK highlighted the efficacy of its multi-purpose spray in restoring patio furniture by removing rust and preventing its return.
To achieve this, simply spray WD-40 onto the rusted area and wipe it away. This treatment not only eliminates surface rust but also shields metal furniture from
future oxidation.
For more stubborn rust, however, it's recommended to spray WD-40 on the problem areas, wait 10 minutes, and then scrub with an abrasive material to remove the rust thoroughly.
Don't use WD-40 near an active fire pit, as the spray is flammable. Also, it isn't food-safe, so the product should not come in contact with food or food preparation areas.
