The Faux Garden Predator That'll Keep Chipmunks Out Of Your Yard

To keep chipmunks out of your yard, use an owl decoy for a simple and humane solution. Since owls are natural predators of the rodents, the mere sight of one will make them wary.
A solar-powered owl decoy that hoots, rotates its head, or flaps its wings is ideal. A motion-activated version is even better, as it creates a lifelike and unpredictable presence.
If a moving decoy isn't available, tie it so it sways in the wind, and regularly change its location to keep chipmunks from becoming accustomed to it and venturing into your space.
For durability, opt for a resin-made owl. Even with the decoy in place, it's important to clear away fallen fruits, vegetables, and spilled birdseed to avoid attracting chipmunks.
