The Closet Idea HGTV Star Nate Berkus' Loves For Hiding Your TV
By EMILY MENDEZ
In an Instagram reel, interior designer Nate Berkus detailed the brilliant hack he used to hide his TV in his former, tiny 515-square-foot New York City apartment.
Berkus put the television in the closet of his main room — a genius way to keep your television out of sight yet accessible for when you want to watch it.
This solution let him display items that make him smile. With the TV out of the way, he could fill his apartment with things that had special meaning for him.
Berkus' idea worked well because his closet was located in front of his couch, so he could watch the TV whenever he wanted by simply opening the closet doors.
This solution won't work well if your closets are out of the way. In this case, try hiding a mounted TV with dark wall paint or making a smart TV display artwork when not in use.
