The Clever Way Tiktok Uses A Cabinet To Hide Kitchen Appliances
By CLARA MUCCI
When Garrow Kedigian, a designer known for his architecture-first approach, showcased his Parisian apartment to TikTok’s @housebeautiful, his stove and oven were noticeably absent.
Turns out, Kedigian had cleverly integrated these appliances within the cabinetry with the oven resting behind a cabinet door and the stovetop concealed beneath a countertop tray.
This design is ideal for those who have small kitchen and dining areas but love to entertain. You, too, can efficiently hide your appliances using Kedigian’s method.
For the oven, Kedigian puts it inside the cabinet and installs a regular cabinet door in front. Keep in mind that when your oven is in use, the cabinet door will need to stay open.
As for the stovetop, placing a tray on it is a budget-friendly hack that anyone can utilize. Just ensure you have a convenient spot to store the tray when the stove is in use.
For your refrigerator and dishwasher, panel-ready appliances allow you to put a custom panel on the appliance as a final touch to give you that gorgeous hideaway kitchen design.
