The Best
Way To Store Super Glue To Keep It From Drying Out
By MICHELE WANKE
A super glue may not be at its prime for use if it was opened after a long time. To prevent this and extend its shelf life, store it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
Ideally, containers should be stowed in temperatures between 50 and 70 degrees F to prevent heat and humidity from building, as hot environments cause this glue to be hard and dry.
Keep super glue in its original vessel and place
it in an airtight container, like a plastic bag, between uses. Add silica gel pouches to your container to help with moisture.
Additionally, you can store it in a refrigerator, but instead of using it right out of the fridge, let the glue reach room temperature before using.
Place the lid back on the bottle after each use and clean the glue's container and its nozzle to
prevent contamination
that can diminish the
glue's effectiveness.
