The Best Way To Clean Your Mop After Using It On The Floors
By CYNTHIA ANAYA
If you bought a new mop with a removable pad and are wondering how to clean it, you'll be happy to know that many mop pads can be safely washed in a machine.
To be certain, read the label on the mop head. Some machine-washable mop heads include the O-Cedar EasyWring RinseClean Spin Mop and the SUPTREE Floor Spray Mop.
While mop heads made
of cotton will last for approximately 50 washes, microfiber mop pads can be washed hundreds of times before having to be replaced.
You can also throw your microfiber mop pads into the dishwasher or hand-wash them. Just be sure to follow the washing instructions to avoid damaging the pad.
If you’re washing your
mop head in the washing machine, refrain from using bleach or fabric softener. Let the pads air dry instead of using the dryer.
