Tray feeders, also known as platform feeders, are an excellent option for attracting a wide variety of bird species to your yard, offering you a chance to observe them
up close.
These feeders are designed with a flat bottom where seeds are spread out and usually come with a protective roof to shield both the birds and seeds from various weather conditions.
They typically have a mesh bottom, which lets the majority of debris fall through. This feature, combined with the open design, makes it easier to clean and maintain these feeders.
Also, they offer ample space for various birds to feed simultaneously and can hold a diverse range of foods, from birdseed and fruits to corn, nuts, mealworms,
and suet.
