Take IKEA Curtains From Drab To Fab With A Toothpick Hack
By MARCO ROSSI
To make your IKEA curtains high end, you can add pleats. Buy pleat hooks to force the folds at the top of the window treatment, and use toothpicks for help with the spacing.
Flip the curtain so the backing is facing you, and with toothpicks, create your first pleat. Space two toothpicks five sections apart from each other; do this with four toothpicks.
Next, take your pleat hook and insert each prong into a slot with a toothpick. There are typically four prongs in each hook, so you will use four toothpicks to create one pleat.
Once the prongs are securely in, remove your toothpick placeholders, then repeat this across the entire panel. To make your pleats extra crisp, iron them where they fold.
