A lyre is carved into each banister along the stairs, and Erin Napier incorporated a bit of whimsy by displaying their daughters’ framed artworks along it.
At the bottom of the stairs is a train bench restored by Matt Fonderen beside a cushion and the red side table, and the area is illuminated by a gold-plated table lamp.
The second floor of the Napiers' home is dedicated to their young daughters, and it features peel-and-stick wallpapers that bring a forest-like dreamscape.
The living room boasts wood beams on a high ceiling, an original fireplace, wood floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the outside in and open up the space.
The smaller sofa was purchased by Erin's mother in 1999, and Erin’s husband Ben built the large coffee table. At night, the table lamps and fireplace provide warm lighting.
The Napiers preserved the English architecture in the kitchen, and brass and wood are combined in exciting ways throughout the space, giving it a worn, farmhouse feel.
The main bedroom has a minimalist palette of earth tones and wood and has a nature-infused spa-like quality thanks to bamboo blinds and linen curtains.
