Super Glue And Baking Soda
Are The Solution For These Household Issues
By BRI AHEARN
Mug
To glue the handle back on a favorite coffee mug, ensure all surfaces are clean and dry, apply super glue to the handle, add a sprinkle of baking soda, and put it back in place.
Tile
Align a loose tile with the others, fill in the gap with baking soda, scrape it well into the gap, then apply a thin line of super glue in the gap on top of the baking soda.
Holes
To fill in wood cracks and stripped screw holes, spoon in baking soda, brush away the excess, then add a few drops of super glue. Once it’s cured, you can re-drill the hole.
Key
Pour baking soda into a keyhole that has a key broken off inside it, add super glue to an X-acto knife, stick it onto the broken key, then pull the key out when the glue cures.
Tools
Repair a cracked paint brush, ruler, or other tool by placing the pieces together, covering the crack with super glue, sprinkling on some baking soda, then letting it cure.
