Secure Your Outdoor Cushions With A Convenient Zip Tie Hack
By CHRISTY RAE AMMONS
It’s irritating when your patio furniture cushions constantly shift around or fall off the furniture, but there’s a very easy solution: Simply secure them in place with zip ties.
This hack will work with rattan, wicker, or other furniture that has space to attach zip ties to the back and seat cushions. You may even find zip ties that match your seating.
Get black or white zip ties from Dollar Tree or assorted colors from Home Depot. Then, thread them through your cushion’s seam tags or make a small hole in the seam of the cushion.
Next, put your cushion in place on your furniture, push the end of the zip tie through the weaving (or around the spindle on a wooden chair), lock it, and cut off the excess.
You’ll have to cut off the zip ties to wash the cushions, but it’s easy to attach new ones. Cover your furniture with a tarp to avoid having to cut off the zip ties when it rains.
