Rice Is The Secret To A Clean Coffee Grinder
By SASKIA AINSWORTH
A popular method for cleaning a coffee grinder is to use rice. While this is useful as a one-time cleaning solution, it may not be the best fit for other scenarios.
Rice can help remove strong smells from your coffee grinder. This method only requires a couple of tablespoons of rice, making it cost-effective, as well.
As well as scents, rice also helps to clean out any leftover waste still inside the internals of your grinder that you may not be able to reach with a sponge.
However, there are other factors to consider. Rice's firm and starchy nature could affect a coffee grinder's inner workings and cause it to malfunction.
If you'd rather not use rice to clean your coffee grinder, try using a pipe brush, stiff cleaner, or specially-made products like Urnex Grindz pellets, instead.
