Rescue Rusted Baking Sheets With A Couple Of Common Kitchen Items
By ANDRA PICINCU
You may be tempted to throw away your rusted baking sheets, but they can still be rescued. Use a combination of potatoes, baking soda, vinegar, and salt to revive your old trays.
Both potatoes and vinegar are rich in different types of acid that help dissolve rust, while salt and baking soda are natural abrasives that make removing stubborn stains easier.
To use this hack, slice a palm-sized potato in half. Sprinkle a pinch of salt or baking soda onto the cut half or add them directly to the pan, then scrub the area with the potato.
For stubborn stains, apply a baking soda and water paste to the rusted areas for a couple of minutes before scrubbing. You can also try soaking the sheet in vinegar overnight.
