Repelling Stink Bugs Isn't Enough, Here's What To Do Instead
By SANDY BAKER
While stink bugs won’t cause you or your pets harm, the invasive insects can damage your garden. Seal your home and use professional pest control to keep them out permanently.
It’s easier to stop stink bugs from entering your home than dealing with an infestation, so sealing holes in window screens and vents is vital, especially during the colder months.
Essential oils like spearmint can also deter them from coming indoors, while hiding plants with crop covers or encouraging predators like earwigs will keep them from your yard.
If prevention fails, you should call a professional for help. Organic pesticides are ineffective against stink bugs, and chemical products can be harmful if not used properly.
