Placing an upside-down glass jar over newly planted seeds or young plants can shield them from cold, wind, rain, birds, and pests, giving them a better chance to thrive.
This approach can raise the temperature inside by up to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, helping plants survive cooler conditions and shortening seed germination times by up to 14 days.
