Plant These Beautiful Flowers To Cover Bare Tree Roots
By KANDICE VINCENT
Exposed tree roots can throw off the look of your landscaping, so try planting spring bulbs to not only protect the roots but transform those spaces into a beautiful focal point.
Popular choices like daffodils, crocuses, tulips, hyacinths, and pansies can be planted under deciduous trees. They bloom in early spring, so won’t compete with trees for sunshine.
Because bulbs are small, they're easier to plant around the roots without disturbing them, but don’t grow hydrangeas or azaleas, as they can compete with tree roots for nutrients.
