Places Where Black Widow Spiders Could Be Lurking Around Your Home
By KYLE SCHURMAN
Although black widow spider bites are rarely fatal, they can still be dangerous, making it important to know where these pests tend to hide in your home so that you can avoid them.
These arachnids weave their webs both indoors and outdoors, typically in dark, dry, and secluded spots that are well away from normal traffic patterns and human activity.
Inside your home, they often lurk in basements, garages, and underneath patios or decks. Outside, they may hide near the home under eaves or within wood piles meant for firewood.
These spiders can also be found in outbuildings like barns. They prefer to build their webs close to the ground, where they can catch insects while staying hidden from view.
