When choosing granite countertops for your kitchen, it's essential to steer clear of certain colors and patterns that can make your space look outdated and stuck in the past.
Granite with bright, colorful specks and spots of blue, red, or green, as well as slabs with striking dark or light colors or intricate veining and patterns, should be avoided.
Moreover, skip granite with bold primary or secondary colors, especially if the patterning is spotted, intricate, or heavily veined, as these can create unwanted visual clutter.
You might want to pass on high-contrast patterns, such as white stone with bold black veining. While these designs were popular in the 1990s and 2000s, they are no longer in vogue.
