Make DIY Toilet Bombs To Keep Your Toilet Smelling Fresh
By DANIELLE RAMOS-SULLIVAN
It’s an ongoing process to keep your toilet smelling nice. Instead of buying a freshener that may contain harsh chemicals, make this DIY toilet bomb that uses natural ingredients.
Bacteria buildup inside of pipes can cause foul odors despite regular cleaning, especially when it’s hot and humid. Using a toilet bomb regularly can help keep the odors at bay.
To make this toilet bomb, combine 1 cup of baking soda, ½ cup of citric acid, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, 3 tablespoons of water,
and 15-20 drops of peppermint extract.
Mix everything until it’s dry and clumpy, then add it to an ice cube tray and place it in the freezer. After a few hours, remove the toilet bombs and place them in an airtight jar.
You can swap out the peppermint for lavender or lemon oil if you prefer a different scent. You can also change up the essential oils from week to week.
