Joanna Gaines Reveals The Key To Making Fake Flowers Look Real
By V BAWA
In a YouTube video, Joanna Gaines shares her best tips for making artificial flowers look real. For her, it’s all about choosing quality blooms and treating them like real ones.
Gaines says to choose flowers that closely resemble real ones with their textures and colors. Eternity flowers, aka everlasting roses or preserved roses, make an ideal choice.
Gaines also recommends getting a pack of all of the same kind of blooms and stems because they'll look more realistic than a mix of different ones.
Trim the stems to fit in the vase. "I like to bend the wire where I think I’ll cut and then place it in the vase to double-check before trimming," Gaines explains in the video.
After placing the flowers in the vase, fluff out the branches and add water just like you would with real flowers. Change the water routinely to keep it looking pristine.
