Joanna Gaines, co-host of the famous HGTV show "Fixer Upper," recommends a simple yet effective strategy to make a small bathroom appear larger: Combine overhead and task lighting.
Gaines suggests choosing a dramatic overhead fixture, like a chandelier, to draw the eye upward and emphasize the room's height, shifting the focus away from its
limited size.
She also advises never skipping task lighting around the vanity area. By adding wall sconces, plug-ins, or battery-operated lights, you can create a more open and inviting space.
