Is TikTok's Trick For Spreading Diatomaceous Earth Worth Trying?

TikToker @alva.review shared a hack that speeds up the time-consuming task of treating a large outdoor space with diatomaceous earth — but you need to use it with caution.
You simply drill holes all over the bottom half of a plastic jug, fill it with diatomaceous earth, and attach your drill to the jug’s cap. The drill will spin the jug in circles.
As the jug spins, the powder will spray out through the jug’s holes, quickly and evenly dispersing it around your garden — faster than a duster and cheaper than a lawn spreader.
However, be sure to wear protective gear when using this method to stop the powder from getting in your eyes and lungs and to prevent injury should the jug detach from the drill.
