Is It Better To Buy A Shed At Home Depot Or Lowe’s?
By DARBY WAGLER
If you’re facing a dilemma over buying a shed from Home Depot or Lowe’s, let us help you consider the options available at both retailers and which one has the better deals.
Home Depot’s best-seller is a 7-by-7-foot resin shed made by Rubbermaid that costs $1,099. However, out of more than 1,600 reviews, the unit received a meager 3.6-star rating.
While only 57% of buyers said they would recommend the resin shed made by Rubbermaid, others stated it was easy to build and stayed up in harsh weather.
Home Depot also offers a 7-by-7-foot resin shed by Suncast for $1,099. It comes with a 10-year limited warranty and is more favorably reviewed (4.3 stars, with over 1,900 reviews).
Lowe’s sells the exact same Suncast shed for $100 less at $999. Lowe’s customers rated it slightly lower (3.8), the chief complaints being cheap material and poor customer service.
The shed has 3.4 stars, with some reviewers complimenting its affordability and sturdiness, while others complained that it was difficult to assemble and its tendency to collapse.
